Avocent CPM1610
The Avocent CPS1610 is an appliance-like Telnet server that provides administrators with a centralized means to access serially managed devices through access at the rack or access over IP connections. A single 100BaseT port provides network connectivity and 16 serial ports provide attachment to managed devices.
In conjunction with DS1800 and other AVOCENT solutions, the CPS product line offers a full range of KVM and console connectivity to servers and serial devices in the data center. Combined with Avocent's new SPC800 and SPC1600 power management over IP devices, you can have total control of devices in your data center.
As part of the DS Series, Avocent's DSView Windows application provides centralized management of the CPS network appliance. With DSView, you can access all of your data center devices from a single screen, making complex network access and control remarkably easier. For added user security, Avocent's DSAuth user authentication software stores permissions, topology and per-device contact information for the DS Series. It also performs third party authentication during connection to the switch.
